Wyoming is home to a host of spectacular wildflowers that are collectively unique to the Rocky Mountain West. Diantha and Jack States have photographed over 325 of Wyoming's most common and showy wildflowers from all corners of the state for this second edition, full-color field guide.

Wildflowers of Wyoming explores the unique communities of flowering plants associated with six major vegetation zones of the state: plains, steppe, foothills, montane, subalpine, and alpine. The guide is organized by common family name with color photographs of the whole plant in its native habitat, along with narrative descriptions of plant form, flower characteristics, habitat information and range. To help with identification, thumbnail photos of flowers by color and shape are also provided, along with a scientific key to plant families and line drawings of the sixteen most commonly encountered families.

This field guide is appropriate for flower enthusiasts at all levels of experience for easy identification and enhanced enjoyment of the wonderful wildflowers of Wyoming.
